Sweet Little Lies, An L.A. Candy Novel by Lauren Conrad

I just finished this book, finally, last night. If you are or were (two seasons ago) a fan of The Hills, you will like it. It's the second in the L.A. Candy Series. I believe there will be four total and LC has signed over the movie rights. You can definitely hear Lauren's voice in these books as most of us have known her since she was a Senior in High School in love with Steven Colletti on Laguna Beach. It's an easy read and definitely PG-13, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone younger than 15. This is just because the content is really more 18+ (drinking, sexual innuendos, etc). Lauren has explained that it's totally fiction, but taken from her experience in "Reality TV". However, I can definitely see some of her frienemies depicted in some of the characters. At the end of each book, in season finale fashion, you are left with some things resolved mixed with even more cliff hangers for the next book. It's just too bad I couldn't remember the cliff hangers when I started the second book...


If you haven't read it, I strongly recommend  The Help by Kathryn Stockett .
