Mary Kay Vox Box Review #MKGLAM

I was so excited to receive this Mary Kay Glam box from Influenster this weekend and really couldn't wait to try all the products! I have used Mary Kay Cosmetics in the past but it has been a really long while, so I was honestly looking forward to this box. 

They sent just about everything I need for a full face of makeup. I wasn't sure about using just the Translucent Powder alone, so I wore my own mineral based concealer and powder foundation and finished my face with everything Mary Kay. 

This was kind of a weekend/everyday look (and good gracious I need a tan). I could definitely step it up a little for an out to dinner look or just for fun! 

I really like the finished look the Translucent Powder gives my skin and it's super light and soft, but still provides coverage. The blush is a great shade for me and really goes on nicely. I have trouble finding blush that will last, so I usually resort to cream based, but this really has a nice pigment without having to do touch ups throughout the day (which I never do anyway). The bronzer I used to do some light contouring and dusted lightly on my chest, but will definitely use it more when I get a little summer color. Believe it or not, I do tan a little. I'd also love to try out some sunless tanners (pregnancy safe of course) if anyone has suggestions?

My favorite part of this box was the eyes! I love a good mascara and this has made my list! It separates and lengthens and you get a nice thick lash look. I only used one coat, but with multiple applications and add a little more eyeliner and you could really do a great cat eye or smokey eye look. I was going for more of a light springy casual look which is where the cream eye shadow comes in. It was light and a pretty color. A little too dark for highlighting for me, so I added just a little of a lighter tone under my brows. You can't see the shadow that well in the photo above, but I have worn it every day since!

I have to admit, I'm not really a lip color person. I wish I was, but I just don't like it when I look at myself in the mirror. Especially, a bold color and this was pretty bold. I'd love to try this gloss in a lighter more neutral color. I am wearing it above, but I toned it down a little before shooting the photo. Just a little out of my comfort zone! It did have staying power though, which is really important to me when I test out a new product. 

This was so much fun to get to pamper myself a little with all these great products. I look forward to using them and honestly with the prices, I will consider buying more Mary Kay. It's less expensive than you may think!
