When coming up with new things to incorporate into my diet during this pregnancy, I look at a few things. How many carbs does it have? (we'll get to that later) Can I share it with the toddler? (what's mine is his) How quick and easy is it to make? Let's start here with what's quicker than using your Keurig? I can't think of anything, so I set out to find the best k cups flavors! What I found was that the Brew Over Ice series has a few fruity, caffeine free choices best served cold. Then I took it a step further with this 4 Ingredient Fruit Fizz.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 Cup Frozen Pineapple Chunks
- 1 Vitamin Burst Strawberry Pomegranate K-Cup
- 1/2 Cup Club Soda
- Ice
Fill a 12 ounce plastic tumbler (do not use glass) with ice cubes and hit the smallest brew on your Keurig for maximum flavor. Add all ingredients into your blender and blend! Return to your tumbler and enjoy! Then of course share with your toddler because this will double the size of your drink once blended. Head out to the back yard and stay cool while enjoying a summer evening!
Nutritional Notes: Vitamin Burst also comes in Acai Blueberry which would also be great with this blend. Both are naturally sweetened and caffeine free, each 8-oz. serving is high in antioxidant vitamin C, with no artificial colors or flavors. So, no worries when sharing with your tot! Also getting back to the carbs, I have gestational diabetes in case you're new around here, one VB K-Cup has only 20g carbs (a little over one carb choice) and the half cup of pineapple only has 10g. So, one 12 ounce cup is roughly 15g (just one carb choice). That's pretty exciting for me! Cheers!

While Jonah and I were at Walmart, I also let him pick out one for himself and I knew Lemonade would be at the top of his list given the choices. He loves to use the Keurig and it's great to have something that's normally a treat for him when we are out, right at home! Aaaand because I got a little overly excited about new drink options I picked up the Donut Shop Iced Coffee and some Chocolate Syrup with plans to make my husband a Frozen Mocha for Father's Day this Sunday! I'll let you know how that goes.
