Catch the Moment 365 | Week 35

Friday, September 5, 2014

Another week, another seven photos! I seriously slacked this past week and didn't break out the Canon too much for personal photos. I have really been feeling the weight of this baby boy growing in my tummy (literally in LBs he's apparently packing on and the emotional weight of how soon he could be here). My big boy has been going through something - I'm not sure if it's the fact that he's currently getting all four molars, he's about to be three, anxiety about baby brother, if he's feeding off of my emotions, or a little of all of the above. We've had a few extra tantrums, melt downs, and declarations of independence that have turned into civil wars in our house and it makes a little crazy. Most of the time though I just want to love him so hard! He's so smart and it just wears me out sometimes!

I hope you guys have had a wonderful week. I'm looking forward to the weekend.

239|365 Headed to NaNa's with a bag full of cars. I shared this on instagram with a caption about how I made him carry it himself!

240|365 My clothes..maternity and otherwise are bursting at the seams! I am officially bigger than I was when I delivered Jonah!

241|365 This is a terrible photo, but I had to document baby brother's first #maroonfriday of football season.

242|365 A little trip to Starkville in a sea of Maroon and White. Too bad it rained the whole time!

243|365 I got my first print copy of Click this month! I also got my first tablet. Perfect for travel. We are in the car here but we were parked looking at the lake.

244|365 Most of the time Wesley bathes Jonah. It wasn't always that way, but sometime in his second year, Wesley became a bigger part of his bedtime routine while I did most of his morning routine and the travel. Since becoming pregnant this time though, he's picked up quite a few more duties over the past few months also - I wonder how our dynamic will change even more when baby brother comes? When Jonah was an infant I did most of the bathing, rocking, feeding, meal prep, etc. and I'm still very present, Wesley just does most of the heavy lifting. I'm sure we'll find a nice rhythm.

245|365 Thirty Five Weeks Four Days-  We have weekly ultrasounds now - sometimes I get prints sometimes I don't. They always seem to want a good profile shot to print - I kind of want to ask for a picture of his lungs or something random. I do want to point out those lips though! He's always making this pucker. He has the chubbiest cheeks and lots of hair.

Thanks as always for being a part of this journey with us.

Every Friday SarahMindi, and I host a place for photographers of all kinds to share, explore, grow and connect. Our common goal: one photo, every day, for three hundred and sixty five days. Whether you are using a fancy smancy professional camera, your first DSLR, a point and shoot, or your ever-so-handy phone camera, we want to see your photos! We want to see the moments you caught each day. How amazing will it be to see each of us accomplish something that seems so big? For more info on how to join in start here.

  4. I love the pic of you, and of your little guy with his backpack. The bath photo is my favorite, so gorgeous! My little guy has been going through bouts of power struggles, epic tantrums, etc. I'm chalking it up to being 3, since there are no other things going on in our lives. Sometimes 3 is just a crazy time! Like you said, it's probably all of the above, though. Best wishes to you and your family. You guys will definitely find your rhythm. :)
