Oh hey Fall evenings on the patio! I am happy to say that being cooped up with illness over the past 10+ days has given me reason to get creative and make sure we are spending enough time outdoors! With Fall weather finally creeping in, we've been spending a lot of time on our patio, riding bikes in the driveway and burning rubber (of our Britax B-ready stroller of course) on the sidewalks of our neighborhood. After dinner a few nights ago, I asked Jonah if he'd like to make some pies for dessert. His answer? A resounding YES! So, we headed out the back door, for a little sunset dessert.
I let him take the lead. All I did was open the yogurt and fetch spoons of course.
Effortless Greek Yogurt Pumpkin Pie Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 4 Dannon® Greek Yogurt Oikos® Pumpkin Pie
- Keebler® Ready Crust® Mini Pie Crusts (6 count)
- 1 Reddi-wip® original 13oz can
Plus one cute little helper ready with a spoon!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Spoon yogurt into your pie crusts, smooth, then add topping! Enjoy!
I'd love to say I let him do it all himself, but I had to get a smooth top and of course add the Reddi-wip®. This was so easy and only took the time it takes a 4 year old to use a big spoon.
He could hardly wait to eat his creation! Little brothers fingers weren't far behind either. This is a dessert that even my 1 year old can enjoy!
What's even easier than making the pie is picking up all of the ingredients while you are at Walmart anyway! We had to send Daddy out since everyone else was sick and he had no questions about the list and found everything... easy as pie. ;)
Be sure to check out all the recipes using these simple ingredients plus so much more.. mmmm... Caramel Apple might have to be next! Find the recipes and so much more here.
What a fun idea!! I just love the weather that this time of year brings so DIY dessert on the patio sounds heavenly! I'm definitely going to have to let my kids make some of these outside soon, too! ~ Client
ReplyDeleteEffortless. Those are my kind of treats. So little time for anything when you work and have kids (not to mention a blog!). It's been kind of cold here this fall, but we had a lot of patio picnics this summer. So much fun!
