Ezra's First Cake!

Friday, October 9, 2015

I just wanted to pop in and throw these photos of Ezra's cake "smash" out there. It has been a tiring week and we have a busy weekend ahead but I do want to share these fun snaps my sister got of Ezra while we sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed his cake!

Ezra was so funny when we decided it was time for cake. I attempted to make him wear the crown my sister made and he was not having it, by that time everyone had gathered around and when we began singing he started laying his head down like he was embarrassed that everyone was looking at him!

When I finally put the cake down he perked up a little and I am missing a picture here where we blew it out that I will have to come back and add - because there aren't enough in this photo dump! Instead of letting him smash the whole cake, because I knew he didn't have the patience for that, I just cut him a slice.. a big slice. It was so fun to watch his little chubby hands grab those giant pieces. I loved every minute of it!

We attempted to get a family shot of all four of us, but you know.. we just couldn't get it together, so here are our attempts. . .
I think we need a little practice before we attempt a Christmas card.

  1. I think your first pic would make a great Christmas card - everyone is smiling and looking at the camera. In my family, that's a major win!

  2. Oh my lord, Stephanie! You were totally right, cuteness overload!! I bet this was such an exciting time for you. I know when our little one turned 6 this year I nearly cried she was getting so old! Beautiful photos.
