Finally finally I got in front of the camera! We wanted Jonah in this picture too but he refused to wear clothes. So, he made a plan that he would hide behind me so his underwear wouldn't show. He even practiced the pose and how he would lean over my shoulder. SUCH a photographer's child!
Unfortunately, my camera battery died in the middle of our posing session!
It's a good idea to get in front of the camera every now and then when you are behind it so much. Mamas don't forget, your babies will want to see you with them. They'll want to see how they fit so perfectly on your hip or in your lap. They will want to see how naturally you mothered them and remember how that felt further back than their memories can take them.
Don't forget to document you, too.

Such beautiful pictures! And you're right! I have a ton of pictures with my son and not as many with the two of us together. Thanks for sharing with us at the #FFBH!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos! And, yes! Very important that we moms exist in photos too. I've been making a conscious effort to do so with my kids' scrapbooks. I want them to know I was there - even if I didn't always look my best. One of my friends has a weekly linkup on Mondays specifically for this ("Mommy & Me Monday") to share our photos of us with our kids. You should join us!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos - well treasure too, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite right about getting in front of the camera too. When older, our little ones won't just want to see umpteen pictures of themselves!! I think sometimes as parents we can forget to capture us because we're focusing on capturing everything little detail of our ever growing child.
