It felt like V-Day was kind of a big deal this year and secretly (or not-so) I kind of like it that way. I mean other than Christ's birth and resurrection, what better to celebrate than LOVE? nada. nothing! So, teaching my little men how we love one another and getting to have real conversations about what love really is and how we SHOW it to others is fun, exciting, and important.
At this point in their lives, it just means being with people we love and doing little things to show others that we care. It's also a time for me to show my babies and my husband that I have a deep love for them. I tried to do a little something for everyone, but of course that didn't really work out like I was planning, but we did make the grandparents little goodie bag and some things for cousins and a little sucker treat for Jonah's class!

Jonah and I had a good time making his Valentine box for school. I had forgotten about it and since he only goes to school 3 days a week, his party was scheduled for Wednesday and they request we send everything at least the day before. They don't want anyone left out and I love that! I stopped by Dollar Tree and found a few foam stickers and a little kit that was a brown paper bag that we could make into a bear, so we just applied that to our Foodstirs box I saved and it turned out pretty cute! We took the liberty of giving him the big mouth for receiving treats!
On Saturday night, my husband cooked a yummy meal and the boys got me a bouquet of flowers. On Sunday, we all went to church and I gave the boys the little gifts I had gotten for them and I asked my husband to snap a few photos of me and the boys - which turned out to be this... lol Lots of wiggles!
I hope you had a great weekend, Valentine's Day or not. You are loved.
Getting my kids to pose with me is like wrangling pigs. It's always a crazy adventure. :) Glad you all had a fun weekend and that you got a few photos with your boys.
