Be Mine! All mine!

So Valentines Day has come and gone again this year. I don't really get that excited about Valentines Day, but I always expect a little effort on my husband's part. So, this year we went to eat a probably the best resturant in Memphis that I had no idea even existed! Erling Jensen was THE best food I've put in my mouth since Napa {I compare everything to Napa because it's simply the best!}. The people were super friendly and you can tell most were return customers. This was our first visit and won't be our last.

They had an awesome wine list {by the glass, half and whole bottles}, excellent service, and the chef...well let's just say he knows what he's doing. We started with the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Smoked Red Bell Pepper Sauce {$17} as an appetizer. Then, we shared a Roasted Asparagus Salad over Baby Arugula and Crisp Prosciutto with Sherry Vinaigrette {$11}. For the main course Wesley ordered Filet of Buffalo Tenderloin with Lobster Béarnaise {$42} and I had the La Belle Farm Duck Breast over Sweet Potato Risotto with a Cranberry Demi Glace {$30}. The deserts looked AMAZING {Blueberry Marzipan Cobbler} but we just couldn’t do it! It’s a little pricey for our budget just to go on a weeknight, but we really like to celebrate things, so if you’re planning a trip to Memphis…we will visit Erling Jensen. Also, a valentine’s treat for me was to get to dress up! YAY! I got to wear a dress twice in one year! To accessorize my LBD I wore my new headband and earrings I bought from Bebecha. Right now she is offering buy 3 get the 4th free on earrings. I heart them so much! I’ve worn the Nicole {black with white polka dot} Button Earrings everyday since I got them on Thursday! I should have ordered a pair of “not so gray day” button earrings since I wear black and gray almost everyday during the winter. I can’t wait until the first hint of spring so I can pull out the Wasabi Mum earrings I got as my 4th pair free. As cute as these earrings are the headband is my favorite {I will be ordering more once I nail down my spring palette}.
