A whole perfect little person

I can't quite describe how I'm feeling about motherhood. It's everything everybody said it would be but better and harder at the same time. Spending my days with my baby is amazing, but it's so much more complicated than that. . . I feel like a different person. Being pregnant, I had some practice putting his needs before mine, but now that he's on the outside it's a completely different feeling.






It's so amazing to think that just two short weeks ago, he was inside of me.
He was this complete little person, perfectly formed, waiting to make his way into this world.





Right now, it's all still so new, but I feel like he's been mine forever.
I can't stop staring at his sweet little face. I already know his little faces, what he likes and dislikes, and each of his familiar coos and cries.
