A Resolution & A Family Dinner

Friday, January 6, 2012

On Sunday (aka New Year's Day) we had some folks over for lunch. I didn't take many pictures, but snapped a few for fun when I thought about it. I wanted to cook and have a real dinner/lunch in our new home to start the new year right.
This was to include black eyed peas and cabbage. I don't necessarily believe that these two side dishes will bring any good fortune to me, but hey it's tradition and well...easy meal planning.
Since we hardly cooked for anyone but ourselves when we lived in Memphis we never really used all the wonderful serving dishes we got for our wedding 3 years ago. . . so what better time to bring them out?

That leads me to one of my resolutions. . . to have more friends and family over to our home for dinner. I think once a month is a good goal. So, I've checked off January - reserve your spot for February! =)

52 Week Project Photo Paint the Moon Photoshop Actions PSE

PS. I finally moved all my PTM actions back to my laptop after having to clear the harddrive a few months back. I used Vanilla pop on the flower photos and thanks to Branson - collage making is SO much quicker.

  1. You captured beautiful photos from the day! I'm impressed with you having people over when your baby is so young. I think it took me about five years! Love the new pic of you with your baby boy in the sidebar!

  3. Beautiful table :) I wish we had more local friends for entertaining. That is where we need to start this year... then I can progress to a similar goal, lol
