Edit Me: A beautiful landscape

Friday, February 3, 2012

Apparently, Linda from Coach House Crafting lives near the beautiful locale featured as this week's photo. It is already a beautiful, frameworthy photograph that really needs to editing, however, that's not the deal. So, I've had a little fun with it this week and am loving how it turned out. I'll probably feel differently when this is actually posted, but you know that's how I roll.

I edited exclusively in CS5 this time. I simply cropped just using a freestyle size. I liked how this crop focused more on the beauty in the distance, but there were a few distracting rocks at the bottom of the photo, so I cloned those out using the cloning tool.
Next, I ran Paint the Moon's Sweet Ivy action and turned off the black and white later. Then, I went through each layer adjusting them as I saw fit for this photo. I also ran PTM's Sunny Days actions. This added some light brightness to the photo. Lastly, I ran a rounded corners action. So, there you go and here it is....

  1. Really like the crop and the perspective it gives. The rounded corners frame it up nicely!

  2. Love the crop and the oldie feeling you've managed to achieve. The corners and frames finish it off just nicely.
    Thank you
