Monday, I took Jonah in for his 4 month check up and I mentioned to the doctor that he'd had a little cough..like maybe his throat was sore. She said it was probably just a cold and if he didn't have any fever they would go ahead and give him his shots. The shots, of course broke my heart, but he's such a little trooper and rolled through the afternoon with little trouble. Then, Monday night, he was clingy, fussy and had trouble resting. You could tell his legs were sore and he just didn't feel himself. He slept in our room and did pretty well through the night. Then...
Tuesday morning, he woke up at about 5:45 screaming! Which is totally out of character for him. He is usually so happy and excited to see Mama when he opens his eyes. He had a little temp and was super congested. THE WORST. He was at home with Wesley most of the day and just needed to be held. Then last night he was even more congested and could not get comfortable and he HATES me suctioning his little nose...poor guy. He finally (after much crying screaming and refusing a bottle) fell asleep at about 11 and was still asleep at 8 this morning. I think he's feeling a little better, spending the day with MeMe and Uncle Lance.

ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I had forgotten about the snot sucker days, haha. Poor baby, and poor mommy! I hate when A is sick :(
ReplyDeleteoh poor baby!!!! and momma & daddy!!!! it's the worse when they are sick. i'm actually a little surprised they gave him the shots - my ped said even for a cold they wouldn't do it. here's to hoping he gets better soon and all of you can get some rest!!
