Jonah is 7 Months Old!

We took these photos on his 7 month birthday, Saturday May 19, 2012 at Belhaven University - just down the street from our house at about 6:45 - 7 in the evening. You will be seeing lots more from this location. I found some beautiful spots! I love using new locations for photos.

Jonah is 7 Months old!

I think I've probably said this about every age, but seriously I LOVE this age!

Our boy is so sweet and active and oh SO CUTE!

He just loves life, this one. He can’t help but laugh..even when he’s fussy.

He may just be the most ticklish baby I’ve ever met! This silly boy just thinks it’s ALL funny! Sometimes we are just like WHAT is he laughing at? Who knows! But I am grateful. Oh SO grateful that he is enjoying his little life.

Don’t get me wrong he has his fussy times too, but they are usually solved with just some TLC, food, or a change in scenery.We’ve learned the best way to occupy him is just give him the whole box of toys! He’s most likely take each and every one out and then either take the box apart or drum on the bottom.

Yep he’s still the noise maker. Beating toys on the high chair is the best!

 Speaking of high chair . . . he has become quite the good little eater too. He’s currently eating carrots, bananas, green beans, sweet potatoes, avocado, rice and oatmeal. He hasn’t met a food he doesn’t like YET! (I’ll have to post some photos of me making his food – it’s kind of fun to puree!)

 I think he’s probably about 17 ½ lbs and probably around 27 inches tall. He’s generally grown about an inch a month and gained about 1 pound per month since two months old! and that head just keeps getting bigger too! He’s kind of a little guy (except the head) on the charts. He’s wearing mostly 6 month clothing, some 9 and there are some occasional 3-6 outfits he can still wear. Baby clothes sizing is so odd!

 I am really in love with bubbles for summer! They are my go-to for him because well it’s HOT in Mississippi and they are just so baby! This little anchor bubble I actually bought new and had appliqued from Smockadot Kids on Facebook. Most of his clothes are hand-me-downs from cousins and friends, consignment finds here locally, handmade (not by me) and a few are truly vintage…as in his daddy wore them as a baby! LOVE THOSE! Thanks MeMe!

 He's really starting to babble more and more. He makes the sounds for Dada and Mamamamama and lots of ba, ha, ah, gah. When holding a conversation he so wants in on the action and well just babble and sing until you notice him. He is even starting to grasp the concept of bye bye - he's got the motion just practices at random times.

 When he sees a new face, even a familiar one, he'll tuck his head down..like he's shy, but warms up fairly quickly to most people.
He is also really enjoying music and he LOVES to dance. He hears music and he just bounces...it's pretty hilarious and obviously VERY cute.
And if you can't tell by the pictures, he's pretty cool with the grass. It's hard to get him to look up to take his picture because he just wants to pull up the grass and eventually put it in his mouth... yuck.

 and if you didn't notice...that's drool. ALL over the front of his outfit. It's constant. We are still waiting on those teeth though. I could have dried it or I probably should have put a bib on him prior to the photos, but the drool really shows the stage he's going through right now.

He is just getting SO big, I'm totally in love with who he is right now! Love my sweet boy!
