Sunday Funday with friends!
Sunday evening we had some friends over for a little backyard fun! It's so crazy to all these littles become so big. Years from now, we (the adults) will be saying "I've known you since you were born" to each other's kids and they... won't care. Then, I'll break out these pictures.
Jonah's face in the bottom left KILLS me. He's always peeking around. . . looking for someone.
Poor Benjamin. In no time he'll be down there with them... I remember when we were saying that about Jonah - like a month ago. I can't wait to see them play together. I hope we have a cousin/bestie situation.
of course she has a serious side too.
By the way, I love our backyard. It's big enough for kids (and dogs) to run around, but not so big that you can't see them at all times. It's shady and sunny. There's a pecan tree and a gardenia (yum! sniff sniff).
Kicking off Summer: Memorial Day
For Memorial Day, we went over to my parents house to hang out with them, my grandparents, and my sister's family.
Mom placed flags on the porch in memory of my late papaw, James Clarence Slater, WWII veteran and my late uncle, Davis Clegg, Vietnam veteran. Also, to honor my Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and all who serve with the US Military. It was a nice and thoughtful touch. We all wore our Red, White and Blue to honor them also.
You might already know how I love the hazy evening sunlight. I couldn't resist getting some shots of us being all patriotic. I think Wesley did a great job with this photo. Yep I'm singing his praises...this is an area where he usually gets a lot of criticism...
The last shot below was our attempt at a family photo...at arms length. My camera is kind of heavy for that...so this is what we got... Wesley looks cute at least.
HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!
It's my favorite time of year and I plan to soak up every second.
