The Wilde Olive Blog: 2012 Rewind Week 34

2012 Rewind Week 34

Each week, I post photos from throughout our week and link up with 366 Rewind. Well this is just that post, plus a little more. First your weekly iPhone dump.

Tomorrow is my Papa Joe's 84 birthday and Saturday evening we went to my grandparent's home to celebrate and spend a little time with our big family. I only snapped a few phone photos (the cupcakes and the swing) but it was really nice to spend some time with family in a relaxed environment. Many times it feels a little crazy when it's a holiday and everyone has somewhere else to be too. It was nice just to hang out for a little while.
Sunday, Jonah and I spent most of the morning in the house just playing and trying to do a little laundry and prep for a trip we are taking this weekend (if Isaac doesn't ruin our plans). Daddy attempted a little Isaac prep outside. Our detached garage usually floods when there's a lot of rain and well I'm predicting a lot of rain.

We attempted a small container garden this year. We just tried tomatoes and some herbs. I don't REALLY understand why my husband came up with this little idea because he doesn't eat tomatoes and we haven't even touched the herbs. With a little baby in the Mississippi heat we can't obviously BOTH work outside at the same time. Hopefully, next year Jonah will be able to join us more in the spring and play a little while we work. Our tomato vine produced exactly five tomatoes. These two are a lot smaller than they appear...

Any advice for container gardens or easy growers?

So here's hoping that our week turns out great! I'd REALLY love to go to the beach this weekend, but I'm afraid Isaac may have another idea. Not that the hurricane will still be here on Friday, but will we be able to get gas? I had to go to 4 gas stations today before I could fill up... Will there be power as we travel? Will the rain stick around through the weekend? I guess we will play it by ear and just see what happens!

  1. Love these photos. Jonah needs to stop growing!! He is getting sooo big.

  2. I love the idea of this project rewind! That way you will never miss a thing. It must be fun too, to go back and revisit these posts!

  3. I have to agree with Sarah- he's getting so big! I love those snuggle ones & the art class is too adorable!
