My plan was to have a perfect birthday party, entertain my guest perfectly, enjoy the day perfectly, take perfect photos, and make them into perfect blog posts to share with all of my friends who couldn't be there with us. Well obviously none of that happened. I actually had quite the anxiety attack right before the party. It was threatening rain and I just wanted someone else to make all the decisions, but I had planned this day (not without help) and I came to the realization that it wasn't going to be perfect! So as imperfect as it was, I
loved Jonah's party. I had a good time because he had a good time. We spent time with family and friends. Jonah played and played! The food was eaten, the games were played, and the cake was smashed. He was SO excited to see all of these people coming to his house and to get to just roam and play in the backyard. He was the best sport, even without an afternoon nap.
Then Monday, I wound up at the walk-in clinic with a clear ear infection and a very sore throat. So, maybe I shouldn't have stressed so much and ignored those cold symptoms. But, hey, I'm not perfect after all.
All of that to say, I DO have some great pictures coming, some tutorials, recipes, and some awesome people to blog about, but I am not staying up late and I will relax this weekend as much as I can!
Happy pumpkin picking.

Love these pictures. Hopefully you're feeling better. I keep trying to tell myself that I need to stay calm and not stress over Jackson's party this weekend. Its so hard not to though. When you plan something for weeks or months, you just want everything to go perfectly, but nothing is perfect, so I have to remember that and try and just go with the flow. :-) Taking deep breathes. LOL.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pictures! From what I can see it looks like a great party. Sorry you got sick.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Oh, no! An ear infection is almost the worst possible thing... no joke. I hope you're on the mend soon!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have been there to celebrate with you. The party looked fun, easy going, and adorable. That is a great theme. Good job!
