I'm planning to do a reflection post for 2013, but it is taking me forever to get it together - that kind of describes how 2013 was for me. . . busy, hectic, full of life and things to do. As for 2014, I say lets do it again! I like busy. I get overwhelmed, but I prefer an active life to the alternative.
If I had to have a word for the new year, it would have to be "simply". I know that sounds the opposite from what I just said about liking the busy life, but what I mean is I want to purge a little. This applies to our belongings and my ability to over complicate everything. I want to use my time more wisely and if something isn't working, I want to make a change instead of just being overwhelmed. I want to simplify what I spend money and time on.
I want to be a little more scheduled and use a calendar more so that I have more down time with my family. I want to say yes and no more. Meaning yes to the things that make me feel good and passionate and that I feel are purposeful and no to the things that I do just because I don't want to say no. Here's to 2014 and hoping my yeses are successes and life lessons! I am so looking forward to sharing another year will all of you!

Love that picture of you and Jonah! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you goals sound wonderful. Simple living is abundant living. These images are really adorable, and I look forward to seeing more of your year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love the idea of living "simply" - it should be a goal for all of us, I think.
