My kids love blankets! The oldest may have a blanket addiction. I mean. How many blankets do you really need? Is there an anonymous group for this? Let's add pillows to that group too. He can't get enough and will drive you crazy trying to get him to settle to sleep or get out the door without a pile of blankets. There used to be days that I literally had to carry him and four blankets and a backpack to the car. I guess I can't blame him though, I really like to snuggle up too!
The funniest thing about it is though, that he only recently began wanting to be covered up to sleep. He makes a nest and you better not mess it up or move the wrong pillow or blanket. I think this addiction must be genetic because that little one down there... he loves a good snuggly blanket it too. Is it because they were born in the Fall and I always had them bundled up as newborns? Who knows.
What I do know though, is that all those blankets that are left in the car, the bathroom, the back porch need to be washed. Often. I feel like we always have a load of baby blankets to wash and before we moved that would take up two loads or I'd sneak one in at a time with baby clothes, because I can't just wash them with the towels and our machine was SO SMALL. I didn't really know the difference in the size of washing machines until the buyers of our old house wanted ours and I went shopping for new ones. Oh. My. Life is much better now. We still liked the top loading but wanted the HE and some other fancy details. It's wonderful! Now, I can wash all the blankets and throw some of the kids clothes in too.
One day I'll do one of those beautiful Laundry Room tours, but that day is not today because said laundry room is nice but not beautiful - yet. Today is all about all free clear and how it's perfect for our blanket problem. We didn't even have to switch to a new detergent because all free clear can be used in he machines. Plus, it's hypoallergenic, gentle and perfect for even the baby's blankets.
So, thanks to all free clear, I don't have to worry about buying special baby detergent , washing multiple loads and my kids are free to be Snuggly little blanket addicts! It's pretty sweet anyway, especially because if you look at the photo below you'll see Jonah sleeping with a blanket that belonged to my husband as a child (the red one), his quilt my mom and I made for him before he was born, and my baby blanket (yellow and green) that my mom made for me before I was born. We forgot to save this sort of thing for a second child, so Jonah has claimed them as his own... sorry Ezra and any future children we may have.
Check out what else we are Free To Be here and go like all free clear's facebook page because a little birdie told me there is a sweepstakes coming up that you don't want to miss out on!
Linking up with Photo Friday and Hearth and Soul
Awwww - such great photos! I love that one of the little one in the middle of all the blankets ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that All made a fabric softener in the free and clear formula. We use the free and clear detergent because for some reason I itch all the time. I'll have to check the fabric softener out.
Thank you for joining us this week for Photo Friday!
Love these photos especially the first one. I usually wash my little guy's blanket at least once a week.
ReplyDeletep.s. We LOVE all free clear!
Oh my gosh the boys are just precious! Anything that doesn't make our sensitive skin break out, is a great product in my book.
ReplyDeleteWe're dedicated All Free & Clear users over here and have been for my own sensitive skin issues well before we had kids. I didn't realize they had a fabric softener now too. Will have to check it out. My son has several washable items (loveys, stuffed elf) that he sleeps with and I make sure to wash regularly to clear any germs. Overall, I think I do at least 1 wash a day to keep all of our clothes, linens, etc clean.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute, yes my son has ezcema, so I too use sensitive skin stuffs. Thanks for sharing with Hearth and soul blog hop. piining
ReplyDeleteWow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. nanny cam with audio
