Seaside | Great Southern Cafe + Little Sister's Birthday

Friday, June 24, 2016

Over the next couple of weeks, I am going to share lots of photos from our trip! If anyone wants to know more about where we stayed, places we ate, etc. Please just ask! We go to this area of Florida pretty much every year and planning a wedding down there 8 years ago, I feel like an expert!

On the second day of our trip, we headed down to Seaside, FL, one of our favorite places to visit. Wesley and I were married in Grayton Beach which is just right next door if you aren't familiar with 30A. We haven't been staying in the area since we try to stay close to Camp Gulf where both of my sister's camp in their RVs. Of course my sister, Andrea's birthday, we headed to The Great Southern Cafe for a little brunch and that place does not disappoint! A majority of us order the brunch special which was Eggs Benedict over Crab Cakes over Fried Green Tomatoes with a side of Gouda Grits. OMG. That might have been the best dish of my life. Well done GSC, well done. I do have to say though, our beignets were over cooked and I was a little disappointed, BUT that just left more room for good grits. So, it was a win all around. We hung out and did some shopping because we love the little shops there and could spend the whole vacation budget just walking around Seaside, so after a few items, two birthday presents, and a lot of sweat later, we snapped some photos, walked around and headed back to the beach!
