Angry Birds Birthday Brunch

Thursday, July 21, 2016

While we were out of town back in June, my nephew, Connor, turned 6 years old.  He requested an Angry Birds party and my sister, Maggie, made that happen in the simplest, most adorable, yummy way!
Since we were out of town and Connor and his family travel in an RV, we offered up our rental house for the party so that cooking and serving would just be easier and since we could be inside, we could help decorate the night before.

My sister decided that she would do a brunch, so we kicked off the party around 9am and it was perfect. We wound up getting to go out on a boat later in the afternoon. I think it was a pretty good day for the birthday boy!

Eggs in a Nest Donut Cake!

It was really a great morning and the kids had so much fun!

THE FOOD (mostly not pictured) was breakfast tacos and they were delicious. I really want to do that again for a brunch soon. We had biscuits, bacon and fruit for the kids. Then they got to have donuts, but honestly, we had so many donuts left over because everyone was SO stuffed!

THE CAKE: A donut cake is about the simplest cake you can "make" and it was SO cute with the theme.

THE DECOR: All of the decor was mostly from party city. Connor got to help pick and the colors were so cute. The "table runner" is left over wrapping paper and we really just used serving dishes that we found at the rental house! Mostly clear pie plates on the main table and white plates in the kitchen for the tacos.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration if you are looking to keep it simple but super cute this year!

My almost five year old has now requested that HE have his birthday party at the beach with a finding Nemo theme... hmmm we'll see how that works out for him in October!

Share with me your favorite parties you've thrown for your little ones!
