We have been needing to update at least one of our carseats. Mostly because the leather was wearing on Jonah's that he's been using since he was 5 months old when we switched from an infant carrier. We have loved our seats, but they seem to be getting better and better. I love that there are seats now that do last forever (okay not forever, but for all of our needs)! We (I) was so excited to try our the new Graco 4Ever™ 4-in-1 Car Seat! This seat will work for both of our kiddos as they grow. It has 10 adjustable positions for the headrest and 6 positions to recline the seat for rear and forward facing options. My favorite feature though is that the straps adjust with the headrest. NO RETHREADING! *insert happy dance here*
To show you how great this seat is, I thought I'd show you a little bit about how it can be installed and transitioned from a child who uses it rear facing (my 2 year old, Ezra) to a child who uses it forward facing (my 5 year old, Jonah).

#2 Always READ your instruction manual! All brands are different and seats vary within brands, so read your weight and height limits and installation instructions carefully.
#3 Install according to your child's weight and height. We are choosing to keep Ezra rear facing for now, even though he has me the 22lb requirement to turn this seat. He's still comfortable and can stay rear facing up to 45lbs. Thread your tethers for rear facing! Make sure they are tight. The seat should not move more than 1 inch!
#4 Adjust headrest and straps according to child's height. For this seat, this is only one step. Rear facing, the straps should be at or below his shoulders. Using the handle at the top of the headrest, lock it into place, then strap the child in. Place the chest clip at armpit level to insure shoulder straps are in the correct position! Pull tight. Do the pinch test!
#6 To install for a older/bigger child (at LEAST 22lbs +) repeat #2-4. Adding the tether!
