It's time to get in the Holiday Spirit and start collecting these new and easy ways to build memories for the kids! This new idea for Santa's cookies are sweet, salty, and even have a little protein to help Santa make it through to Christmas morning! The best part... the kids can help and there is absolutely no baking involved!
Ingredients:
- NILLA Wafers
- Peter Pan Simply Ground™, Simply Ground™Peanut Butter
- Pretzels (small)
- Edible eyes (or sub chocolate chips)
- Red candy
- Not Optional: Swiss Miss hot cocoa, Swiss Miss® with marshmallows (I know Santa personally and the marshmallows are also not optional.) Santa also like peppermint sticks in his cocoa. =)
Instructions for Reindeer Cookies:
2. Gently add a second Nilla Wafer and add two pretzel antlers.
3. Add eyes and red nose.
* To make this step SUPER easy and to help the kids not get peanut butter everywhere (I know I'm a control freak) scoop peanut butter into a sandwich sized zipper bag and cut a very small hole in the corner. This way you can pipe (like icing) peanut butter to stick on the eyes and nose. You could use a bag with a larger hole to actually fill the cookies, but I decided to let the kids do that step on their own!
Can you believe it? That's it! You are done. Just repeat until you have enough to snack on and leave some for Santa! This is such a great way to get the kids involved and excited for Christmas morning!
