New year new me right? Have you been sticking to your goals so far this year? Here we are rounding out January and I am so happy that I have actually gotten to check a few things off my list. In this post last week, I talked about part of my mission to be "lighter" was to spend some time focusing on my health and while I haven't made any huge strides yet, I took one major step towards wellness this month, incorporating probiotics back into my diet.
When I was newly postpartum with Ezra, I could not seem to build my immunity. At my six week appointment, I began asking my doctor what the heck I could do to build my immunity and get my system back on track. One of the things she mentioned and supported me doing was incorporating probiotics daily and lots of vitamin C. At the time, I began drinking keifer a good bit and got on a probiotic regimen. Incorporating those things into my diet, along with a few other additions, really made a difference in how I was feeling.
I have to be honest though, I am one of those people that gets something under control and I forget about the maintenance part. So, since then I have been on an off a few different kind of vitamins and probiotics. Then, OLLY came into my life and I am truly loving it. These probiotic sticks are amazing. I mean they taste like candy, so that makes it easy... way better than swallowing a pill and I love the company's mission.

Bonus, I get to take Jonah on this little wellness journey with me! He's my shadow these days and so so smart about food. He loves getting to take vitamins and even serves as a reminder for me...because grape flavored powder that he gets to pour onto his tongue is pretty cool for a 5 year old!
I am really trying to teach the boys that we can use food and nature to keep our bodies well, instead of treating our symptoms when we are sick. We are always going to get sick of course, we are human, but knowing how to treat your body is important and it's not about how much you weigh or depriving yourself and things you love. It's about having balance and knowing when you need an extra boost.
I'd love to know what kind of wellness journey you and your family are on this year! You can even try a free sample here: OLLY Quick Melt Probiotic Sticks (while supplies last).
You can also save 20% on any OLLY online purchase by signing up for the newsletter here: https://ooh.li/7fd02e2. I think I'm going to use this to get the Kid's SuperFood Multi for Ezra, but that's a whole other blog post!
