Project Light 365 | February Recap

Friday, March 3, 2017

February, where did you go? I blinked... and boom. How did that happen? January felt like an eternity, but February just slipped right by me. I know there were only 28 days but I'm not really sure what I was doing between Valentine's Day and today. I guess that's not really true because I did take at least one photo every day.

This project really does help to anchor me in my own life. It lets me look at our day, breathe in a moment of that day and whether it was a good day or not. I want to remember the good and learn from the not so good. I want to see the happiness, because it is there everyday. Even when there are too many tears and too many burdens, there are happy smiles exchanged between us that makes the hard days of raising children lighter. It makes adulting a little more infused with childhood and we so need that.

We are learning how to take adventures where we can get them and enjoy each other and a moment of quiet when it falls into out laps...

We are getting ready to embrace new phases of this boyhood...

We are repeating memories made by the generations before us...

We are discovering that there are might adventures right in our backyard... thanks to a family of beavers.

We are learning that doing for others sometimes takes more patience than we think we have...but it's always worth it.

We are learning to love each other, not just on special days, but every day.

We are learning that cousins make the BEST friends and memories with grandparents are precious for a lifetime... nah... we already knew that.

We are learning that sometimes our bodies just need rest and things don't always go as planned.

but that's okay...

because most trials in life are temporary.

Happy allllmost Spring my friends.
