I am so excited that its finally Spring and we get to incorporate all the pretty Spring colors into everything, even our food! I kept that in mind when thinking of a creative recipe to make for Easter dessert and included a decadent Edwards® Hershey Crème Pie! You are going to want to make this for all of your Easter and Spring occasions because it is so simple but very homemade... or so your friends and family might think!
We picked up everything we needed at Walmart and found the secret ingredient in it's new packaging on the freezer aisle. That secret ingredient in this recipe is of course Edwards® Hershey Crème Pie.
but really, you could use any one of these pies for a different twist on this fun dessert! Edwards pies are perfect for ANY occasion whether you are celebrating a birthday, work event, graduation or just for your Spring and Easter family gatherings.
I picked up an extra Edwards® Triple Coconut Pie for our contribution to the family reunion we have this Sunday and delivered these treats to my sister's new house as they were moving in! They were enjoyed and now you can make them too! It's so easy and there is no baking required! I have a quick confession to make though before we get started. I originally want to just cut the pie with a circular cake cutter, BUT then I realized how much of this delicious pie was going to go to waste and pulled out the cupcake cups you see in the bottom of the photo, that was the BEST way to go! Here's what you'll need:
Supplies and Ingredients:
- 1 Edwards® Hershey Crème Pie (thawed according to directions)
- 12 cupcake cups or treat bowls (not liners, you need the stiff sides)
- Shredded Coconut
- Green Food Coloring
- Candy Coated Chocolate Easter Eggs

Instructions:
1. Prepare your coconut shavings by adding 1 cup into a small bowl with 2-3 drops of green food coloring. Mix well with a fork, making sure to cover all of the flakes. You can add more or flakes and more die gradually to get the color your'd like.
2. Set out your cupcake cups and take pie out of the pie pan. I used a cutting board to place my pie on but a pan or some other hard surface would work just fine.
3. Using a scoop or spoon, put pieces of the pie into the cups making sure to get some of the cookie crust into each cup and a bit of the whipped topping toward the top.
4. Add coconut flakes to the tops of each cup.5. Add 3 candy eggs to the top using the whipped topping to make them "stick."
And just like that you have this SUPER cute custom dessert for your spring and easter celebrations!
