This summer is just flying by you guys! I cannot believe that the Fourth is right aroudn the corner! Before you know it we will be talking back to school and I'll be sobbing in my cheerios because my baby will be headed off to "big school". In the meantime though, we are really trying to enjoy every little bit of Summer we can and we can't wait for America's birthday! Y'all know we love a good birthday party!
So, this week we have a week FULL of patriotic decor, a DIY framed flag (seen here), recipes, and a style post that you won't want to miss! Today, we partnered with Oriental Trading Company to make our house a little more festive for the occassion.
After mixing in some great new items with some of our already loved decor, I kind of felt the mantle getting a little busy, BUT then I thought, that's okay for a holiday and the best part is after the holiday passes I can just pull out the flags if I want and keep the rest for a more simple farmhouse summer look.

For the front doors, I chose these two small wreaths, that I don't think you'd normally use for "door wreaths" but I always have difficulty with wreaths because we have two smaller, but not half-width, front doors. I am constantly eyeing all the houses in our neighborhood for ideas because buying two beautiful wreaths gets pricey.
These guys have a very affordable price point, but then turned out to be a little TOO small, so I took apart my spring door hangning (the hydrandea balls you can see in the other photos here) because I was going to anyway and used the ribbon and a little hot glue to give them a little more umph!
Now, as we head back indoors, I used a bit of what we had left from the mantel to create a little patriotic vinette in our eat in kitchen area. I super simply just added fabric flags to the galvintized tins and pulled out some red, white and blue cloth napkins. We eat here 2-3 meals a day, so it has to be super simple and easy to use.

You can find so many great decor items, patriotic party items, and red, white, and blue inspired crafts from Oriental Trading Company!
Don't forget to check back the rest of this week or just follow us on Facebook to see how we also incorporated some of these goodies into patriotic fashion and a super simple DIY!
Your house is so gorgeous. Love it!!
